Passion
Find yourself with a vision.
A personal quote I keep coming back to. What I do outside design is where most of my thinking actually starts.
What I do outside design
01
Binge watching
Long-form stories are structure lessons. Interstellar taught me that a complicated idea survives only if the emotional thread stays simple.
02
Riding
Riding clears the noise. Most of my problem framing happens on a road, not at a desk.
03
Business R&D
I research and test business ideas — mostly around EV mobility for rural transport. It keeps my design decisions connected to cost, operations and reality.
How these things influence my design thinking
Riding gives me distance from the problem. Most of my clearest framing happens away from the screen, where there is nothing to redraw and only the problem left to think about.
Films train structure. A long story only holds together if the emotional thread stays simple — the same is true of a complex product with forty screens.
Business research keeps me honest. Studying cost, operations and adoption is why I ask whether a design decision survives outside the file it was drawn in.

Let's talk
Let's design something meaningful.
If you're working on a complex product, workflow or emerging technology challenge, I'd be interested in hearing about it.
